But the actual popularity of cooking with cannabis exploded in the second half of the 20th century when cannabis infused chocolate, lollipops, brownies, salad dressing, and many other crazy recipes were invented. No wonder this happens as cannabis is a herb that spices your cooking experience and adds certain health benefits.

However, cooking with CBD is a relatively new trend. Let’s take a look at some famous CBD infused cooking recipes that are not only healthy but also palatable.

What is CBD?

CBD or cannabidiol is a phytocannabinoid that is extracted from the hemp plant. What makes CBD different from other cannabinoids such as THC is that it is not intoxicating. Moreover, its supporters believe that it has many medical effects such as:

Chocolate CBD latte

Among other options, how can we forget CBD beverages such as CBD coffee becoming increasingly popular? This recipe provides you with caffeine-free energizing drink to ace through the day.

Ingredients for one serving:

  • One tablespoon cacao powder
  • CBD oil
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ONe cup milk
  • One tablespoon maple syrup
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

Mix all ingredients in a pot and let them simmer on medium heat. When you notice that it starts to simmer, remove it from the heat source and add CBD while constantly stirring. Pour it over ice, and your ol’latte is ready.

 Carrot cake overnight oats

Who doesn’t like oats but sometimes you need something that is healthy and easy to cook. This is where overnight soaked oats come to the rescue. And if you add CBD in the porridge, it’s a definite game-changer.

Ingredients for two servings.

  • One and ¼ cup milk
  • One tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • One teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • CBD oil
  • Three tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ½ cup carrot, finely grated
  • Three tablespoons raisins


Mix chia seeds, raisins, cinnamon, carrot, and rolled oats in a bowl. Now add CBD oil, milk, maple syrup to the bowl and mix all the ingredients. Leave this mixture overnight or for at least 2 hours so that the oats absorb the milk and become soft. Finally, before eating, you can top it with pecan or greek yogurt.

Four chicken thighs, sliced and boneless, sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

For the salad and dressing:

• 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

• 1 ripe avocado, finely sliced

• Zest

• Cherry Tomatoes sliced

• 2 tsp clear honey
